Coming February 10, 2026, Farnsworth's second Jesse Stone sequel sees hedge fund manager, new Paradise resident Ramsey Devlin arrested for drunk driving. Immediately Devlin threatens to use his influence to stick it to Stone. Making matters worse, Dr. Rachel Lowenthal, whom Jesse has been dating, reports her son Jacob has been the target of anti-Semitic bullying by Devlin's son, Race.
When Devlin vanishes from his home, leaving a bloody trail, the heat turns up on Jesse like never before. He's relieved of duty, Deputy Chief Molly Crane takes some personal time, and Suitcase Simpson is made acting Chief. Dividing the ranks, Farnsworth has Jesse, Molly, and Suit work on separate leads, deservedly deepening the stalwart supporting characters.
Robert B. Parker's Big Shot gives Jesse adversaries you'll love to hate and plays out Jesse's predicament to a harrowing, satisfying conclusion. Thanks again to Putnam Books for the NetGalley.
